FOUNDER’S DAY CELEBRATION (18 February 2021, Thursday)

This event was a kaleidoscope of some scintillating performances by our students of GNIOT family and the dance group Kcalpana Kala Kendra, awards distribution ceremony to our achievers in their respective fields, and adding life to the event was the ecstatic musical performance by the Madhava’s – The Rock band.

Founder’s day this year like always was indeed a very special day for GNIOT Group. It was a day to remember and cherish the efforts of the Man behind the organization. For GNIOTians myriad emotions ran high as we commemorated the efforts put in by our visionary founder Revered Late Sri. K. L. Gupta Ji, who had toiled hard to reach this level where we are today enjoying the legacy of 20 years, it’s a day memorable not only for the management but also for all the stakeholders of the organisation.

Program began with the performance of little stars from Greater Noida World School on Oriya Folk dance, followed by other performances and award distribution ceremony to celebrate the passion and zeal of our young learners by presenting them with the Passionate Learner Awards and to encourage the coordinators of various Clubs

to promote all round development and skills of students. Felicitation was done by Director GIMS Dr. Arun Kumar Singh and Director GIPS Dr. Dileep Singh.

Any event is incomplete without the presence of guests and we had the privilege of having dignitaries like the representatives of the Indian Ministries We were extremely honoured to have with us our Chief Guest, Honourable Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ Ji, The Education Minister, Govt of India who despite having busy schedule could manage to connect with us online. Formal inauguration of the event started by offering prayers to Maa Saraswati and a customary lamp lighting ceremony was conducted by our honourable Chairman, Shri Rajesh Kumar Gupta Ji, distinguished guests of honour and luminaries as a tribute to Goddess, an embodiment of knowledge. After seeking the blessings of Maa Sharda to bestow wisdom on us, next we sought the blessings of Lord Ganesh to omit the troubles and extend luck and happiness in all our endeavours. A performance on Ganesh Vandana was showcased by the performers of Kcalpana Kala Kendra which is A NonGovernment Organization (NGO) and Dance Academy.

Director MBA Institute Dr Savita Mohan was invited on stage to share an insight into the life of a visionary, our Late founder chairman Shri Krishan Lal Gupta ji, followed by the inaugural Address given by Director General Dr. Pranveer Singh, where in, he deliberated on the achievements of the group so far and the vision held to take us further.
Next, we had a felicitation ceremony for the honourable guests, as they are the men with prophecy of distinctness, and originators of multifarious notions. They have been making our society proud with all the great endeavours taken over time.

After the felicitation ceremony, our very respected and honourable Chairman of the group Shri Rajesh Gupta Ji who is a Strong leader with Comprehensive understanding of financial management principles and an Entrepreneur with commercial acumen and excellent management skills was invited on stage to give visionary address. Then came a series of inspiring and motivational speeches by our Guests starting with
Dr. Vishwaas Tripathi, Registrar, Gautam Buddha University addressed and encouraged our students to do well, work hard with a vision in mind.

Dr. Nitin Agarwal, CMD Bliss Ayurveda Health Village and Chairman-Alliance shared his experiences and motivated students to follow their dreams. Dr. M P Puniya, Vice Chairman, AICTE, with his known acumen in the area of research and technology focussed his speech on the various fronts where students can improve, sighting the helping policies of the government.
Dr. Anil Jain, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha is also the patron of Integrated Talent Development Mission, took the audience by surprise with the energetic speech. He

highlighted the importance of New education Policy and the ways it can benefit the society as a whole.
As we have been living in a blended world since almost a year now, which has given us an opportunity to attend any event in almost any part of the world despite not being physically present over there. On the lines of the same our Chief Guest, Honourable Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ Ji, The Education Minister, Govt of India despite his extremely busy schedule, managed to connect with us online.
Awards are a way to reward the efforts made by a person and help in building confidence. To recognize the dedication, commitment and sincerity, GNIOT Group felicitated its students and staff. We had prize distribution ceremony to give due recognition in various categories like-, Best attendance, aptitude and acumen of our Meritorious students, in addition faculty members of the group were honoured for Long Service, Works of distinction and exceptional service (Book Writing and research paper publication), Placement coordination, Quality Contribution,

Institute Branding and overall contribution appreciation.
Institute also welcomed and honoured special guests who have been providing services to the society in various fields. Audience was overflowing with energy and the next performances-Mayurbhanj Chhau dance performance by Kcalpana Kala Kendra and Ghoomar by GNIOT students, left everbody in awe with their graceful moves and spectacular performance. Everybody cheered for the little wonder of GNIOT family Master Vimal Sharma when he performed on stage on “Teri Mitti”. On a very high and thrilling note students were left free to dance to tunes of the soulful

INTERNATIONAL E-CONFERENCE ON CUTTING EDGES
(20 February 2021, Saturday)
The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an “International E-Conference on Cutting Edges in Mechanical Engineering” on 20th February, 2021. The conference started by Ms. Renuka Gandhi with brief introduction of the guest speakers followed by Saraswati Vandana. Conference Coordinator Prof. M. S. Rawat welcomed the participants and the guest speakers of the conference. Director General Prof. Pranveer Singh spoke about creating improved infrastructure for the research activities in the campus and looked forward for organizing many more such conferences and other academic related programs. Director Prof. Dhiraj Gupta also touched upon improving research facilities in the campus and stressed on multidisciplinary approach centered on mechanical engineering.

Dr. Yogendra Joshi, Professor, Georgia Tech University, USA, explained about the role of Mechanical Engineers in the area of batteries, electrical vehicles, space because these applications would certainly require the services in heat transfer and refrigeration. He further emphasized the need for multidisciplinary approach for all round development. He also touched about the necessity of self-learning at every stage. Shri Kamendra Kumar, Director, TCIL, explained about the work being taken up by TCIL in various countries for improvement in telecommunication. He said that they are aiming to equip villages with advanced telecommunication technology. He stressed on the fact that such developments cannot be

achieved without the involvement of Mechanical Engineers. Shri Biswas, Ex-director (Engineer and R & D), BHEL, New Delhi, explained about the role of mechanical engineers in the area of robotics and automated guided vehicles. He also expressed that there is a need to have a platform on knowledge based engineering where we can have pool of knowledge in different disciplines. He also emphasized the need for 3D printing wherein we can save enough material and can manufacture products where the customer requirements are changing rapidly. Dr. Matani, Professor, GCE, Amravati, spoke on IOT based renewable energy system. He further added that after wind energy, now emphasis is on computer based IOT in the area of solar energy. He also spoke about drone traffic control and area surveillance. He also explained the use of big data analysis in renewable energy. Finally, Dr. Alok Manas Dubey, HOD Mechanical Engineering proposed vote of thanks. Conference was well managed by Mr. Gagan Varshney, Mr. Girendra Bhati,

SEMINAR ON “DEVELOPMENT OF BETTER SKILL MECHANISM TO BOOST CURRENT EMPLOYABILITY”

Electronics and Communication engineering department organized a Seminar on Development of better skill mechanism to boost current employability on 13 March 2021. The objective of the talk was to learn the skills that can add to get a better carrier opportunity in life.

Hybrid professionals are in great demand as the jobs/profiles that evolve industries have become multi-skilled. A regressive discussion was made on improving personality such as communication skills, presentation skills and soft skills. Keeping in view the importance of topic Dr. Shelly, HoD of Electronics and Communication Engineering, marked in her session that vertical growth is an obsession with most of us but it should never be given preference while learning and growing.

The session earned lot of appreciation from students as it was highly inspirational. The vehicle transport system is rapidly increasing towards a sustainable electric vehicle population. Cloud-based monitoring and management of the smart charger station for electric vehicles (EVs) for the securitydriven IoT enabled direct current (DC) fast chargers is an important aspect in EVs. Keeping in view the importance and need of this emerging topic an interactive seminar is being organized by department of Electronics and communication engineering with Industry Expert.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a Seminar on Emerging Trends and Innovations in Industries through Mr. Arjun Singh, Industry Expert from Samsung Research Institute, Noida on 20 March 2021. More than 95 students participated in the event.

He explained that AI and ML have already penetrated in our day to day lives and we all need to understand the development part. He focused on the need of commercial products like satellite clinic, live facial recognition system, speech to device detection etc.
