In the Basic Search, located under Full-Text Search, you can search by Title, Author, Abstract, Title or Abstract, and/or Anywhere in Article. The search engine uses a default AND between search terms.
Olivet has an online subscription to the ACS journals. You may use the (advanced) Search and view articles online (in HTML and .pdf). .html versions of the articles will print faster. But, .pdf versions will look exactly like the print edition or the journal (with the same page numbering and placement of figures).
You can select the publication Timeframe for your search: ASAP (As-Soon-As-Publishable, not-yetpublished articles), Current Issue – 1996 (Published articles dating from 1996 to the most current issue), Legacy Archives 1879 – 1995 (Articles published between the years 1879 and 1995), or All. Under Date Range, you can also search for articles published within a certain range of time.
