Introducing
NATHALIE STUTZMANN
Music Director
22|23
DEAR FRIENDS,
It is an honor and a privilege to introduce myself to you as the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s new Music Director.
The first time I worked with these talented musicians, it became clear we had instant chemistry as well as mutual respect. The world-class Orchestra is in top shape and devoted to its craft, and I look forward to charting new artistic territory with this incredible ensemble.
Together, we will revisit the most revered works in classical music, while honoring the legacy established by Robert Spano to champion new compositions by up-and-coming composers.
I am also looking forward to working with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus. This group of dedicated choral musicians adds a real depth and breadth to the repertoire of the ASO. As a singer myself, I appreciate the ambition of this group and I’m looking forward to presenting some of the most beloved choral works in classical music in the coming seasons.
Atlanta is a wonderful city for making music, and I am honored to continue the legacy that began more than 75 years ago. As you peruse all the season has to offer, I hope you will be as excited as I am about the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s next chapter.
I look forward to seeing you in Symphony Hall.
Warm regards,
Nathalie Stutzmann
