NEET 2020 – Application Form, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus and Pattern

NEET 2020 is a short form for National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (NEET). It is a national level examination which is conducted in order to serve admission in all the MCI/ DCI approved colleges in India in MBBS/ BDS course. who wish to sit in the examination of NEET 2020 will have to fill an application form which will be available on the official website of the authority. While filling the application form, the applicant has to make sure that he/ she is providing all the correct details. One of the most important steps, in order to submit the application form, shall be the payment of the application fee.

The release of the admit card shall follow the submission of the admit card. One, who is preparing for the examination must be familiar with the whole syllabus. Before one proceeds to fill the application form, he/ she must make sure that the candidate possesses enough eligibility as per the prescribed criteria.

NEET 2020 Important Dates

One, who wishes to sit in NEET 2020 must keep himself/herself updated with the dates of the important events related to the examination. The official dates have not been declared by the authority yet. The soon it shall do the same, it will be mentioned here. Till then, go through the tentative dates which have been tabulated below:

NEET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates, before proceeding to the application form must run their eyes upon the eligibility criteria. One, who fails to possess enough eligibility shall not be able to take the examination. Any candidate, even after being ineligible, submits the application form shall get rejected immediately. The complete details about NEET Eligibility Criteria 2020 are as follows:

Nationality:

  • The candidates must be an Indian Citizen.
  • The NRI candidates are also eligible to apply.
  • The Overseas Citizen of India can apply too.
  • One, who is a foreign national is also eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification:

  • The candidates, who belong to the General Category must have secured a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-Technology.
  • One, belonging to the SC/ ST/ OBC category must have secured at least 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-Technology.
  • Candidate belonging to PWD category must have secured a minimum of 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-Technology.

NEET 2020 Application Form

The application form of NEET 2020 shall get released as per the scheduled dates. Candidates, who are planning to sit in the examination must fill and submit the application form before the last date. The application form must be filled with the correct details.  NEET Application Form 2020 will be released on the official website ( ntaneet.nic ) of the authority. While filling the online form, the candidate will have to be very careful, although, the authority will be providing the candidates to correct the wrong filled details in the form. After one submits the application form, he/ she will have to pay the mandatory fee. Without the application fee, no application form shall be submitted.

NEET 2020 Application Fee

After submitted the application form, the NEET 2020 Application Fee has to be paid by the candidate. One will be able to pay the application fee in an online as well as the offline mode as well. In an online mode, the candidates will be able to pay the fee through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking. The offline payment can be done through E-Challan. Besides the fee, the candidates will have to pay GST and other additional charges as well. Details related to the amount of the application fee has been laid below:

NEET 2020 Admit Card

The admit card of NEET 2020 shall be made available on the official website of the authority. NEET 2020 Admit Card will be needed at the time of the examination. The admit card will be available tentatively in the month of April 2020. While downloading the admit card, the candidates will be able to follow a certain procedure. It is expected from the candidates to print the admit card for future purposes. The candidate will have to bring the admit card to the examination center. One, without the admit card shall not be able to sit in the examination center.

 NEET 2020 Exam Centers

The examination of NEET 2020 shall be conducted all over India. The list of the exam center for the session 2020 will be released on the official website of the concerned authority. The candidate will come to know about his/ her allotted test center from the admit card as the NEET Exam Centers 2020 will be mentioned on the hall ticket. The applicant is advised to visit the exam center a couple of days before the day of the examination so as to know the exact location of the test center. It is advised to the candidates to report to the examination center at least 1 hour before the time of the examination.

NEET 2020 Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The exam pattern and the syllabus play a major role in the preparation of the examination of NEET. The candidate must prepare for the examination as per the prescribed syllabus. The NEET Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2020 will be made available on the official website of the authority. The checking of the examination will be done on the basis of the exam pattern.

NEET 2020 Answer Key

The NEET 2020 Answer Key will be released tentatively in the month of May 2020. The authority will be releasing the unofficial answer key for the first time. Candidates, who have an objection against some answers mentioned in the answer key, then they can raise objections against the same. The candidates must make sure to raise the objections within the stipulated dates. A few days of the last date of raising objections against the answer key has been crossed, it will release the official answer key. After the official answer key has been released, the candidate will not be able to raise any further objections.

NEET 2020 Cut-Off

In order to qualify the examination, the candidate will have to secure more marks than the marks as per the cutoff. The cut off will be released on the official website after the release of the answer key. Through the cutoff, the applicants will be able to know about their qualifying status.

NEET 2020 Result

The result of NEET 2020 will be released on the official website of the authority. One, who has attempted the examination will be able to retrieve the result. The candidates will be able to gain the result by following certain steps. In order to access the result, the applicant will have to open the official authority and then click on the link of the result and then enter the required details in the login section. Post that, the screen will reflect the result of the respective cutoff.

NEET 2020 Merit List

The NEET 2020 Merit List will be released in an online mode. The merit list will be structured on the basis of the marks one secures in the individual subjects. The authority will be released individually for individual subjects. If the two candidates secure equal marks in the examination, then the authority will prioritize one who is older in the age.

NEET 2020 Reservation Criteria

The authorities have decided a certain percentage for the candidates who belong to the reserved categories. The following mentioned are the criteria as per the last year. Any changes made shall be updated here:

NEET 2020 Counselling

The counselling session for NEET 2020 will be conducted in an online mode. One, who have qualified the examination will be able to attend the counselling session. In the counselling session, the applicant will be able to select the aspired institute as per his/ her preference. The candidates will have to attend the counselling session as if they do not attend the same, they will not be able to take admission in any college.
